Migration from .Net to Magento 2
About The Project T-Cups- supplies disposable cups to the workplace and food service sectors. They are one of the leading distributor of beverage, food packaging, equipment and consumables to the workplace, QSR and hospitality trade.
In 2017 T-Cups decided to evolve their brand identity and turned into TBox. Online selling has significantly contributed in company’ new client generation and increase in revenue. Brand is well aware of it and cares to empower this source to its best.
Our Role Yugasa did this project for a British Advertising Agency based in London and did not interact with end client directly. Development team at Yugasa played an important role in understanding end client requirements. Opting Magento 2.x was an informed decision from client side and had a benefit of its being latest in industry. It suited perfect otherwise also considering the client needs and expectations. A full stack developer was assigned on dedicated model to execute frontend and backend of the website. Different Magento extensions were integrated to achieve website functional requirements. Good strength of custom development was also done as per the need. Orderwise was used and integrated for stock management. Yugasa team had never worked on Oredrwise earlier which was client’s preferred solution for this specific feature. Understanding it in no time and integrating it well is a great example of our team’s capability to learn new things faster during project execution itself.
T-Cups has earned great popularity in their business domain and are gearing for next level. Online branding was crucial for them and we had to absorb this sense before starting the project at Yugasa. We had to be equally sensitive about this transition as was our client. New website had to justify the uplift of the brand. Staying alert about website’s beauty, stability and feature richness was a great responsibility on us and we achieved that well.
Migrating the store from Dot Net, a licensed technology stack, to Magento community, open Source technology led to increased margins. This was all done with an aim to create new platform stronger in terms of features and the same was achieved. None of the features was compromised anywhere.
Better and elegant view of the website increased the portal’s visibility and hence prospective clientele on the website.
Embracing latest technology has enhanced the shelf life of the product we built for end client. An update from the new website to yet another modern platform will not be required for a very long time now.
