Whatsapp will now have calling feature in its desktop version

Whatsapp calling feature on desktop: WhatsApp is bringing support for voice and video calling to its Desktop application.

The feature was long sought by the general public and will provide relief to innumerable individuals sitting before PCs who have needed to go and get their phone to get the Whatsapp call. 

For now, the desktop app will only get the update to support one-to-one audio and video calls, but company will be expanding the feature to include group voice and video calls soon

Talking about which, support for voice and video calls isn't being stretched out to WhatsApp Web. 

The new feature backing would prove to be useful to a large number of individuals who utilize WhatsApp's desktop app everyday and have to use other apps like zoom or google meet for one-to-one calls. 

Like the 100 billion messages that WhatsApp measures on its platform every day, voice and video calls are likewise end-to-end encrypted.
