WhatsApp multi-device support: In the recent development of events, Facebook’s chief executive Mark Zuckerberg announced that Whatsapp can soon be used simultaneously on multiple devices. The instant messaging app also plans to add more functionality to the app, especially in the disappearing message section, top executives said. In an interaction with WaBetaInfo, a WhatsApp-related news outlet, Zuckerberg confirmed that multi-device support will be arriving soon on the app. Cathcart, WhatsApp head said that users will then be able to connect up to devices to a single Whatsapp account. Whatsapp also revealed that they are planning to release a dedicated WhatsApp for iPad. One of the key problems while introducing this new feature was syncing the messages and content on all four devices simultaneously even after one of the devices is off. Although amidst all the difficulties, Whatsapp has come up with a solution and is looking forward to launching the feature soon.

WhatsApp introduced the disappearing messages feature last year for its users. Although the feature was much endured by the users, it also faced a lot of criticism. The feature introduced the ability to set a seven-day timer on messages in disappearing mode. Now in 2021, making advancements to the feature, the company is planning to expand this feature to enable users to share pictures and videos that can only be viewed once. “We’re also about to start rolling out ‘view once,’ so you can send content and have it disappear after the person sees it,” Zuckerberg said. WhatsApp users will also be able to enforce disappearing mode across the app for all their new chats. The Top executives Zuckerberg and Cathcart told the news outlets that these features will be available in the next beta update of the app which will be made available in a month or two.
