IIT Roorkee online courses Coursera: The institute of technology (IIT) Roorkee is now offering online courses for data science as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning. They’re going to partner with Coursera to roll out these advanced certificate courses in early 2021.
“We are delighted to partner with Coursera to help fulfill the goal of inclusive education of the New Education Policy. Further, this partnership will help us reach out to a global audience of students and professionals aspiring for quality teaching in these sought after areas,” said Prof. Ajit K Chaturvedi, Director, IIT-Roorkee.
IIT Roorkee online courses Coursera – The advanced certificate course for AI and machine learning will be for six months. The program includes video lectures, hands-on learning opportunities, team projects, tutorials, and workshops.
it will also teach coding knowledge and mathematics necessary for AI and machine learning. In addition, they’re also providing hands-on programming experience on TensorFlow for model building, robust ML production, and powerful experimentation.
The certificate program in data science will teach skills in machine learning, critical thinking, data collection, data visualization, and data management.
It will also teach necessary programming skills in python and SQL for a career in data analytics as well as enhance knowledge on machine learning algorithms such as linear models, kNN, SVM, Trees, Random forest, and neural networks. It will require no prior knowledge of Python, or SQL from the learner’s end.
IIT Roorkee partnered with Coursera as it has over 8 million users in India. It has 47 million users globally. It has 4000 courses across more than 190 countries.
Coursera has courses from the world’s top universities such as yale, university of Michigan, Stanford, and the Imperial College of London. It was founded in April 2012 by Stanford University computer and science professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller.
IIT Roorkee is one of India’s top and oldest engineering schools, and millions aspire to learn from this illustrious institution. This partnership makes the institution accessible to a global audience.
Now anyone, anywhere can take the institute’s high-quality programs to learn skills of the future.” said Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO, Coursera.
